A businessman, Gabriel Sani, was on Tuesday arraigned before an area court in Karu, Abuja, for allegedly swindling his client the sum of N3 million.
The prosecution counsel, Olanrewaju Osho, told the court that on December 29, 2022, the complainant said he paid the sum of N3 million to the defendant for procurement of diesel.
Osho said that when the complainant demanded for the job order, the defendant did not give it to him as promised, and instead converted the sum of N3 million to his personal use.
The prosecutor said during a police investigation, the defendant confessed to the offence.

The defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The Judge, Umar Mayana, granted the defendant a bail of N200,000 with two sureties and adjourned to February 10. (NAN)
