Birnin Kebbi gets 70 refuse collection points

The Kebbi State Government said it has identified 70 refuse collection points to be established at different locations in Birnin Kebbi, the state capital. 

Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu who disclosed this, said the move was in furtherance of his administration’s effort to ensure that the state environment was kept safe.

He added that all the drainage channels would be opened and cleaned to avoid flooding. 

The Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Alhaji Abubakar Chika Ladan, had earlier stated that the state government had considered creating the refuse collection points in the state capital to maintain its clean environment policy, and that the exercise would be replicated in the 21 local government areas of the state.
