Bird flu: Customs impounds frozen poultry products

Confirming the seizure, the Customs Controller, FOU, Zone A, Turaki Usman Adamu, told Daily Trust that the contraband was concealed in a truck.
He said on sighting the customs patrol team, two male occupants of the vehicle jumped out and took to their heels.
“The seizure is valued at N4.5 million. The poultry products will be destroyed in the presence of relevant agencies of government at the destruction site immediately,” he said.
He commended the officers who made the arrest, while calling on Nigerians not to relent in providing the customs with necessary information that would lead to more breakthroughs.
