Beyonce’s mother files for divorce from Richard Lawson

After eight years of marriage to Hollywood actor Richard Lawson, mother of famous artiste, Beyonce, Tina Knowles, has requested a divorce.
According to court paperwork that TMZ obtained and made available, the businesswoman filed for divorce on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.
She designated Tuesday, July 25, 2023, as the separation date and gave the reason for the breakup as irreconcilable differences.
She also requested that her legal name be changed back to “Knowles,” which she had previously used before marrying Beyonce’s father, Matthew Knowles, in 1980.
Tina married Lawson after two years of courting. In 2015, they said “I do” on a yacht close to Newport Beach, California. Tina’s second marriage comes after a 33-year marriage to Matthew.
