BET Awards 2023: Burna bags fourth Best International Act win

Making history, Nigerian Grammy award-winning singer, Damini Ogulu popularly known as Burna Boy, won the award for Best International Act at the 2023 edition of Black Entertainment Awards (BET) on Sunday night for the fourth time.

Burna Boy clinched the award beating artistes like; Aya Nakamura, Ayra Starr, Central Cee, Ella Mai, K.O, L7nnon, Stormzy, Tiakola and Uncle Waffles in a most coveted category of BET awards. Alhough Burna Boy was absent at the ceremony, when he was announced as the winner of the category there was a rousing applause in respect of the singer.

Also, Nigerian afrobeats superstar, David Adeleke, aka Davido, also thrilled the audience with an electrifying performance at the 23rd BET Awards, on Sunday night at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, California. The Away singer performed a medley of his hit songs ‘Feel’ and ‘Unavailable’ from his latest album, ‘Timeless’.
