Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benúe State has disclosed his administration’s plan to launch a new security outfit of 10,000 operatives before the end of May.
Alia made the disclosure during the expanded All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders meeting at the Government House in Makurdi.
The governor said that the new outfit would consist of the already established Livestock Guards and Community Volunteer Guards (BSCVG), as well as fresh recruitments, noting that the office of the deputy governor would handle the establishment.
