‘Benue killings, a reflection of sick land’

A clergyman, Dr Paul Ameh, at the weekend, averred that the killings in Benue State occasioned by armed invasions reflect a sick state in dire need of spiritual healing.

Addressing a press conference organised by Paula Ameh Ministries in conjunction with Covenant Believers Centre in Makurdi, Benue State capital, the Lagos-based cleric, said there was a need for divine intervention which can come through prayers for the state.

“There is a lot of pain that the people are going through. This conference is a spiritual revival for Benue State for God to meet the needs of the people spiritually. I see a lot of spiritual suffering. It is a revival service to reach out to the spiritual needs of the people.

“The insecurity in the state calls for prayers. All the killings and chaos in the state are sponsored spiritually. No matter what you do if you try to curb it physically, it will come in another form. There should be unity in the religious sector of the state. There should be religious cooperation and harmony. Our land is sick and that is why it is projecting blood,” he said.
