A new Commissioner of Police, CP Okoro Alawari Julius, has assumed duty in Benue State Police Command.
The command’s spokeswoman, SP Catherine Anene, said the new commissioner hails from Bayelsa State.
Similarly, the new Commissioner of Police in Yobe State, Garba Ahmed, has assumed duty.
The Public Relations Officer of the Command, DSP Dungus Abdulkareem, said CP Garba, who hails from Kafur LGA of Kasina State, took over from CP Haruna G. Garba.

In Kano State, Mohammed Usaini Gumel has also assumed duty as commissioner of police in the state.
Gumel, while briefing journalists, pledged to leverage community partnership towards managing the fragile security situation in the state.
