Ortom said the outstanding performances of Ordega and Onazi for the national teams and their respective clubs had put the name of the state on the global map of sports.
He, therefore, urged them to sustain their discipline and hard work, assuring them that the Benue state government would continue to support all its sons and daughters in sports at home and abroad.
On their part, the honourees in separate remarks expressed gratitude for the honour done to them by the State Executive Council, saying they were spurred to do more.
Onazi pledged his resolve to attract investment opportunities back home while Ordega appealed for support from the government for a female football team she intends to establish in the state.
