Benue FA proud to have Naija Ratels Foundation as league sponsors

The Benue State Football Association has said it is proud to have Naija Ratels Foundation as the sole sponsors of the state amateur football league.

The Chairman of the football Association and former Speaker of the Benue State House of Assembly, Hon. Margret Icheen and president of Naija Ratels Foundation, Barrister Paul Edeh signed the partnership agreement in Makurdi.

She said “We know Barrister Paul Edeh as a lover of football, especially women’s football which he has been supporting from his heart.

“We are glad that his company, Ratels Sports Foundation has decided to be the sole sponsors of the 2021 Benue State Football League. Without doubt, he has taken up this responsibility because of his love for the game.”

Icheen who is also a board member of the Nigerian Women Football League said barring unforeseen circumstances, the Naija Ratels Foundation sponsored Benue State league will kick-off in March.

Speaking during the event which was held at the Benue Hotels in Makurdi, Barrister Edeh said he only responded to the clarion call by the Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom for the private sector to partner with him to develop the state.

“We didn’t hesitate when the proposal of sponsoring the state league came to us. I am from Benue state and I have been longing and craving to partner with the leadership of the state F.A.

“We are proud to be the title sponsor of this tournament and look forward to a long-term partnership.

“Several years ago, I ventured into sponsoring sports after I discovered that sports, especially the game of football is one of the veritable tools in uniting the people.

“Without doubt, the game of football has the power to heal the wounds inflicted on our people by insurgency and other social vices,” he said.
