Governor Abubakar Sani Bello of Niger State has signed a law to repeal Child Right Law 2010, and re-enact Niger State Child Right Law 2010 for the establishment of the Child Right Protection and Enforcement Agency in the state.

Governor Bello, while signing the bill earlier passed by the state assembly into law on Friday said the law will protect the rights of children in the state.

The governor also assented to a law to repeal the Shari’ah Administration of Justice Law, 2015, and enact the Shari’ah Administration of Justice, Establishment and Constitution of Shari’ah Courts in Niger State and for related matters, 2021.

Governor Sani Bello said the newly enacted laws are to ease the daily application of laws especially those related to protection of fundamental rights of the child and the application of Shariah laws.
