The Federal Government has confirmed the appointment of Mal. Bello Maigari as the new Executive Secretary, National Lottery Trust Fund (NLTF).
A letter from the Office of the Secretary to the Federal Government, dated November 28, 2018, said the appointment, which is for an initial period of four years, is in accordance with the National Lottery Act 2005.
The appointment, which takes effect February 29, 2019, confirmed Maigari, who had been on acting capacity following the expiration of the tenure of the former executive secretary, Engr Habu A. Gumel.
Maigari, an indigene of Gombe State, was born in 1964; attended ABU Zaria, and started his working career in 1989 in Bauchi before moving to Nigerian Telecommunications PLC in 1996.
He joined the NLTF in 2011 as Coordinator, Lagos Office, and rose to become the Director Operations in 2014 and served until 2017.
