One of the Kwara All Progressive Congress (APC) aspirants, Muhammad Dele Belgore (SAN) at the weekend toured seven local governments of the state talking to party stakeholders ahead of the governorship primaries.
He had spent the last three weeks touring the states to speak to APC stakeholders and community leaders on his aspiration.
A statement from his media office said Belgore wrapped the tour of the state on Sunday with a visit to Kaiama, having earlier visited other local governments of the Kwara North senatorial district.
The statement also quoted him as dismissing the claims on social media that he has withdrawn or been screened out of the governorship race.
Recalled that a statement had been on circulation since yesterday claiming that Belgore was not cleared to participate in the APC governorship primary over his court case.
“We don’t want to dignify the rumor on social media. It is a mere distraction. We are used to such antics at this critical time. What they simply mean is that our opponents are jittery. Cowards die many times before their death,” the statement quoted.
APC governorship primaries was held across many states of the country on Sunday but the date has not been fixed for the exercise in Kwara.
