Being recognised as impactful CEO of 2021 a boost, says Prince Omoha

Prince Omoha Nduka, the chairman and founder of Prince Luxury Group (PLG) and Prince Omoha Foundation (POF), has reacted to being recognised by The Guardian newspaper as one of the impactful and award-winning CEOs who contributed to Nigeria’s GDP growth in 2021.

The Guardian published a compendium of names and companies in its Special Projects publication of March 16, 2022 titled “The Guardian’s Special Focus On Most Impactful and Award-Winning CEOs That Contributed to Nigeria’s GDP Growth in 2021” and the real estate investor and entrepreneur made the list.

Notable other CEOs also listed in the compendium include Aisha Dahir-Umar, DG/CEO, National Pension Commission; Baker Magunda, MD/CEO of Guinness Nigeria; Chukwuma Ifeanyi odii, President/CEO, Ultimus Holding Ltd; Bankole Bernard, GMD/CEO, Finchglow; Peter Ashade, Group CEO, United capital PLC amongst many others.

According to Omoha in his reaction, “It is an exciting moment for me and the amicable PLG teams, that the little we are trying to contribute to the growth of the Nigerian economy is being appreciated and noticed.

“This is more like a boost to my teeming spirit and the PLG management to do more in our creative vision and mission to be among the leading firms in Nigeria and Africa.”

Speaking further on the dwindling economic fortunes occasioned by the Russian invasion of Ukraine, “I think it is high time Nigeria concentrated more on building its economy on the contemporary economic world through manufacturing, industrialisations, talents and innovation, science and technology.
“The whole idea here is that job creation will multiply on its own and it will stabilise the sustainable growth roadmap.

“There are more paper theories than action implementation, which has triggered major setbacks to development in Nigeria.

“I urge the federal and state governments to act and focus more on a policy that will engender investors’ confidence and give a room for accessibility to finance for small scale businesses to drive their businesses which remain the engine of the economy,” Omoha said.
