It could be recalled that the federal government shut down the train operation along the Abuja-Kaduna corridor following a terror attack on 28 March 2022 to curtail the terrible act and rescue the people in captivity.
The terror attack, which led to the suspension of operations along the route, resulted in the killing of about eight people, and several were abducted.

It was, however, announced on Monday by the Minister of Transport that the operation would be resuming before the end of November.
Though the minister did not announce the specific date of the resumption, there is a need for the federal government to tighten up security on the said route to avoid a reoccurrence.
Though the minister has said that security personnel would be deployed to monitor the route, it is important to have them on the ground checking the safety of the route before the commencement of the service.
Finally, let the federal government be on security alert before the resumption of the service. This is in order to guard against any sabotage.
