Be your brothers’ keepers, Masari tells communities hosting Zamfara IDPs

Katsina state governor, Aminu Masari, has visited the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) taking refuge in Faskari and Kankara towns and charged the residents of the communities to offer them shelters especially during this harmattan season.

Speaking at the two camps, Masari said the cold weather and harmattan period will further compound the woes of the victims noting that proper shelter will be much better to house them.

Daily Trust reports that over 2,163 IDPs have relocated to the state since the recent bandits’ attack on their communities in Tsafe Local government area of Zamfara state. They are presently occupying primary schools at the two towns.
