The FCT Police Commissioner, Bala Ciroma, has ordered the newly launched special forces of Operation Puff Adder II to be ruthless to all criminal elements across the territory.
Ciroma, who gave the order while unveiling the 150 Special Forces at the command headquarters in Abuja, yesterday, said the new personnel consists of operatives from the Police Mobile Force and counter-terrorism unit.

He said the new special forces deployed to the FCT command was to reinforce the ongoing counter – kidnapping operations, saying the deployment would strengthen security, dismantle and dislodge all criminals from their hideouts.
He said the new special forces was launched by the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Mohammed Abubakar Adamu, as a strategic operation unit to address the emerging security challenges and rid the country of criminal elements.
According to him, the command will use the operation to foster community policing and collaboration with sister security agencies.
“Hence, I want to charge all personnel deployed within the FCT to be professional, firm, dedicated, civil with law-abiding citizens and ruthless to all criminal elements,” he said.
