The Committee of FCT Imam Initiative (CFII) has urged all imams in the country to lead by example and also serve as role models to their followers.
The Chairman of the committee and Chief Imam of the Wuse Community Juma’at mosque in Abuja, Sheikh Bello Adegun, made the call during an extraordinary meeting organized by the group for imams from all the 19 Norther states and the FCT, Abuja.
The cleric, while presenting his paper titled: “The Quality of a Successful Imam, charged the leaders to show extra commitment to devotion, patience and just to all so that the Almighty Allah would assist them in delivering their responsibilities easier.
The chairman of the occasion, who is a lecturer in the Department of Islamic Studies and Sharia, Bayero University, (BUK), Kano, Dr Bashir Aliyu, has congratulated the committee on the successful achievements in their 17 years of existence, which, he said, was worth sharing.
