BBOG commiserates with family of late Hajiya Bilkisu

The BringBackOurGirls group yesterday, visited the family of Late Bilkisu Yusuf in Kaduna to sympathise with them over her death.
Led by its convener, Oby Ezekwesili, the group described Hajiya Bilkisu as a strong advocate for gender equality and inclusion who used her voice to advocate for the Chibok Girls.
Oby said she was an extraordinary and professional journalist, who distinguished herself and gave her voice as well as research to the girl child.
“The sadness of Mecca tragedies knows no bounds. Our sister was one of the most brilliant voices for the girl child. Too shocking,” she said.
According to Oby, the late Bilkisu who was among the members of the fact-finding committee that was appointed by former president, Goodluck Jonathan on the Chibok Girls issue, attained heights that she direly wanted the girl child to surpass through.
