The newly appointed Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, on Wednesday wept for leaving Bichi emirate to Kano emirate.
The emir, while making his remarks shortly after he received his letter of appointment, had paused for a while, obviously to control his emotion.
Also, Emir Bayero was highly emotional while thanking the people.of Bichi, whom he said have showed him real love.
He described them as a peaceful and loving people.
“I am leaving you, not because I do not want to stay with you. This is how Allah made it for all of us,” the emir said.
Daily Trust reports that Sanusi was dethroned on Monday for disrespecting the office of the governor and other government agencies.
The Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji, had said the removal was with immediate effect.
According to the Secretary, Emir Sanusi’s action violated the part 3 section A-E of Kano state law, hence the removal.
He said the removal was in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
Meanwhile, the Kano State Government, same day also announced the appointment of Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero as the new Emir of Kano, hours after Muhammadu Sanusi ll was dethroned.
