Bayelsa poll: Flood threatens voting in PDP’s Diri LGA

As the people of Bayelsa State queue up to elect the next governor of the state, the entire community of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Senator Senator Douye Diri in Sappy have been submerged by floods, thereby obstructing voters and INEC staff from accessing all the polling units there.

Though, voting is yet to commence, but the commercial canoe operators are helping the people cross to the dry ground to start voting.

PDP candidate is yet to come out for voting, while enthusiastic voters are already lining up to exercise their franchise.
