Ahead of the November 11, governorship election in Bayelsa State, Governor Douye Diri has enjoined the people to reaffirm their abiding love and support for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and his administration.
Diri, who is seeking a second term in office on the platform of PDP, spoke during the thanksgiving service to round off the third session of the Eight Synod of the Niger Delta West Diocese at St Peter’s Anglican Church, Nedugo-Gbarain, in Yenagoa LGA.
Diri, who was represented by his Deputy, Senator Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo, said giving him a second term would enable him to consolidate and record more achievements for the state.
He stressed the need for Bayelsans, particularly the church, to educate the people on the benefits of maintaining a team that was “clearly doing well on several fronts.”
