Bauchi workers decry lack of regular promotions

Workers in Bauchi State have decried the lack of regular promotion of deserving officers across the state.

The Bauchi State Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Comrade Danjuma Saleh, who disclosed this on Saturday during the commemoration of the 2021 International Workers Day, pleaded with Governor Bala Mohammed to ensure the regular promotion of all deserving workers.

Saleh lamented that passing promotions examinations was no longer a guarantee for one to be promoted.

Governor Bala Mohammed who was represented by the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Abubakar Suleiman, said that since the inception of his administration, measures had been put in place to ensure stabilization of salaries and pension payments.
