Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar of Bauchi State has inaugurated two committees to review and make recommendations for the commencement of gratuities payments to retired state and local civil servants.
The two committees were inaugurated by the governor at the executive chambers Bauchi State Government House Friday.
Speaking during the inauguration, Governor Abubakar disclosed that, he inaugurated the two committees to find a lasting solution to the gratuities payment which stalled due to absence of exact figure.
He said that, the committees were expected to come up with recommendations so that government will commence the payment in order to improve the lives of state and local government retirees in the state.
He lamented that the issue of gratuities payment had been politicised in the state.
