Speaking during the flag-off of the exercise, the chapter’s chairman, Dr Adamu Sambo, said the exercise included conducting tests on malaria, blood pressure, sugar, hepatitis, general consultation and health education on burning health issues.
Sambo explained that the association would donate drugs to some patients and prescribe to others whose drugs are not available.
Responding, the village head of Duguri, Alhaji Ibrahim Y. Baba, represented by Malam Idris Yunusa, thanked the doctors for the gesture and said that they brought succour to the downtrodden residents of the village.
He appealed to the state government and other non-governmental organisations to also carry out similar exercises in the area.
