The member representing Ganjuwa East Constituency in Bauchi State House of Assembly, Gazali Abubakar Wunti, has sponsored a motion calling on the state government to promote youth participation in governance, and promote development.
Leading the debate on the motion, Wunti said he did that after a series of consultative meetings with youth groups.
“As at 2018, there was no young person between the age of 18-35 years in the State Government cabinet position either as commissioner or director general of agencies and parastatals.

“There was no youth of 18-35 years among the 31 members of the House of Assembly.”
He said the youths were not well represented in agencies and ministries dedicated to their services.
