Bukar, represented by the Director of Water in the ministry, Alhaji Aminu Gital, said the communities were Bogoro, Kari and Gololo towns in Bogoro, Darazo and Gamawa Local Government Areas of the state.
He said that before the current administration came to power, the affected communities had been afflicted with acute water scarcity.
The commissioner noted that the Bogoro water scheme had good reticulation with six boreholes, two generators and a booster station covering the entire town.
He said the scheme had 40,000 gallons surface tank and another one with similar capacity, into which water was being collected before being distributed to the town.
The Chairman, Bogoro Local Government Area, Mr Markus Bitrus, said the council spent N200,000 monthly to supply diesel and other maintenance materials to the scheme. (NAN)
