Bauchi governor appoints media aide

Bauchi State Governor Mohammed Abubakar yesterday appointed Alhaji Yakubu Ibn Mohammed as his Special Adviser on Media and Communications.
A statement by the Permanent Secretary, Political Affairs, Hashimu Yakubu on behalf of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), said the appointment takes immediate effect.
Before his appointment, Mohammed worked as Current Affairs Producer with the NTA Jos. He is a graduate of Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.
According to the statement, he also held various management positions including Controller, News and Current Affairs, NTA, Jos, General Manager, NTA, Bauchi, Director of News, NTA Headquarters and Executive Director Special Duties, NTA Headquarters before his retirement in 2012.
The statement added that the Director of Press, Government House, Alhaji Ibrahim Sani, has been relieved of his position.
