Bauchi gov pledges to reposition Tsangaya, Islamiyya education

Bauchi State governor, Bala Mohammed has reaffirmed the commitment of his administration to reposition the Tsangaya and Islamiyya education system to make it accessible, qualitative and efficient for all the stakeholders.

The governor stated this during a two-day capacity training for Tsangaya and Islamic Teachers organised by the Islamic Centre For Peace Building, Research And Development (IC-PAD) Abuja in collaboration with the Office of the Wife of the Bauchi State governor, Hajiya Aisha Bala Mohammed held in Bauchi.

Represented by the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Ibrahim Kashim, the governor described the initiative as apt because the present teaching methodology in most Tsangaya and Islamiyya schools across the state is not favourable, adding that the exercise came at the right time when his administration is doing everything possible to revamp the education sector to make it more efficient and effective.
