Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has directed the state Ministry of Education and the Scholarship Management Board to collaborate for uninterrupted payment of scholarship and upsetting the backlog of students’ scholarships.
The governor gave the directives when he received the newly elected officials and members of the National Union of Bauchi State Students at Government House, Bauchi.

He said his administration would continue prioritising the welfare of students and providing quality education in the state.
Mohammed also ordered the ministry and board to produce a credible number of indigenous students studying in various institutions across the country before disbursement of the money.
The governor who commended the students for their peaceful election also warned them against taking part in any form of unlawful activities that would jeopardise their future.
Earlier in his remark, the National President of the union, Mahmud Abubakar, urged the governor to invest more in repositioning education in Bauchi.
