The Bauchi Emirate Council has stripped six newly turbaned traditional title holders in Galambi District Area of the emirate of their titles.
A statement signed by the Information Officer of the Emirates Council, Babangifa Hassan Jahun, explained that the decision was informed by the fact that the process of turbaning the traditional title holders by the District Head of Galambi was contrary to established guidelines for such appointment.
Daily Trust learnt that the District Head, Alhaji Shehu Adamu Jumba who doubles as the Danlawal of Bauchi Emirate, had recently appointed and turbaned six persons at his palace with the traditional title of Galadaman Danlawal, Wakilin Dokan Danlawal, Majidadin Danlawal, Wakilin Gonan Danlawal, Sarkin Dajin Danlawal and Hardon Danlawal respectively.
