The Emir of Ningi, Dr Yunusa Muhammadu Danyaya, has crowned Ambassador Shuaibu Ahmed Adamu as the 4th Wazirin Ningi 62 years after the suspension of the office in the emirate.
It will be recalled that in 1961, the government of the northern region suspended the then Wazirin Ningi, Ali Waziri, who was the chairman of the kingmakers following a misunderstanding with the emir.
Adamu was the Nigerian Ambassador to Qatar during the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan.
He is currently the Executive Secretary/Chief Executive Officer of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria.

The monarch said the holder of the office of Wazirin Ningi is the kingmakers’ chairman in the emirate.
“Waziri is a highly exalted office which has tremendous influence in the administration of the emirate,” he said.
The newly turbaned Wazirin Ningi pledged that he would explore his wealth of experience to promote peace and development of the Ningi emirate.
