Bauchi State Commissioner for Education, Dr Aliyu Usman Tilde, has resigned from his appointment with the state government.
Tilde, in a statement on Monday, titled, “Farewell Bauchi,” which was posted on his Facebook page read, “And say: My Lord! Cause me to come in with a firm incoming and to go out with a firm outgoing. And give me from Thy presence a sustaining Power. (Al-Isra’, Ayah 80).
“That was my prayer as I left my office last Thursday after writing a letter to His Excellency, the Governor of Bauchi State, to allow me to attend to a call of an associate who direly needs my services.”
“A few minutes ago, today, 5 December 2022, I received a letter from the secretary to the government conveying my release by His Excellency.”

He added, “With this, my tenure as commissioner of education has come to an end. I am happy to see the peaceful ending of what has been very exacting but fruitful years and will ever remain grateful to God who stood by me until the last minute.”
Tilde confirmed his resignation to Daily Trust when contacted via telephone.
He said, “Yes, it is true I have resigned my appointment and already posted on my Facebook account but, initially I wrote a letter to the governor seeking permission to allow me to travel out to attend to a call of a close friend and associate who direly needs my services and my request was approved, Alhamdullilah.”
