Bauchi denies attack on Misau college

The state Commissioner for Higher Education Alhaji Ibrahim Aminu Mohammed told newsmen in Bauchi that the story is not true but that there was an armed robbery on a route along Misau where no student was touched. The commissioner said the state has been enjoying relative peace and appealed to students of the college and other institutions in the state to remain calm, stressing that government is committed to protecting lives and property of citizens.  Commissioner of Police Muhammed Ladan also denied the story, saying armed bandits had blocked a road in the town to rob motorists.
