In recognition of the pivotal role that youths play in shaping the economic landscape, the BATN Foundation is pioneering an initiative for youth empowerment and agricultural innovation in partnership with tertiary institutions.
During a visit to the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin (Unilorin), Wahab Olasupo Egbewole (SAN), the foundation presented its plans to enable a significant leap on nurturing young graduates into successful agripreneurs through the Graduate Agripreneur Project (GAP).
The General Manager of BATN Foundation, Oludare Odusanya, said, “We are thrilled to welcome the University of Ilorin into our ecosystem of youth empowerment.”
Odusanya, while emphasising the pivotal role of youths in national economic development, noted that empowering the youths to become successful agripreneurs was not merely an investment in their future, but an investment in the future of the nation.

He said, “By nurturing young talents, we contribute to the growth and sustainability of the agricultural sector and, consequently, the economy as a whole.”
In response, Professor Egbewole, who welcomed the BATN Foundation team to the university, appreciated the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, Professor Oluyemisi Fawole, for sustaining conversations with the BATN Foundation which culminated in a partnership.
He expressed pleasure for the initiative which would benefit graduates of the university and assured BATN Foundation of the management’s support and commitment to the success of GAP.
Meanwhile, BATN Foundation has partnered with renowned institutions such as the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB) and the University of Ibadan (UI), where GAP has already made notable strides.
