The National Coordinator of National APC Supporters’ Centre, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Batati has urged the President-Elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to consider the appointment of James Faleke as his Chief of Staff when he is sworn into office as president.

Speaking at a media parley in Abuja, Batati said: “The National APC Supporters’ Centre as a group was on all campaign trips, and as an individual, I was a member of the Presidential Campaign Council (PCC), and worked closely with the Secretary of the PCC (Hon. Faleke).

“He ran one of the largest Presidential Campaign Council Secretariat diligently and without any administrative issues, making him a key cog in the overall success that was recorded on February 25th. He neither seen nor heard all through as he was masterminding all the internal workings of the campaign and the final output.

“This role is similar to how the Chief of Staff operates. He is neither seen nor heard but he is the clearing house of the president. If that PCC role was an audition for Faleke, then he passed it resoundingly. Also, considering his years of legislative experience and vast network, you know that the fits him and our group will be happy to see him wear it.

“This is why we are appealing to the president-elect to hit the ground running Faleke, his ally. He ticks all the boxes; over 30 years of association, proven loyalty and competence, and proven knack for excellence. I think this is a divine design.”

Batati also stressed the need for the President-Elect to pick and choose carefully as well, other members of his cabinet.

“Once we achieve this, Nigerians can go to sleep and the renewed hope as promised will be delivered to their doorsteps,” he added.
