The Barewa College Zaria, class of 1968 intake has celebrated fifty years of their admission into the college.
The event held weekend at the Yakubu Gowon Dining Hall of the college.
Chairman of the occasion, Katsina State Deputy Governor Alhaji Mannir Yakubu said the event was an opportunity for the class to reflect on their time at the college.
Chairman of the organizing committee, Alhaji Aliyu Halidu said the golden jubilee was organised to rekindle memories and to commission some projects executed by class at the college.
He said the class has contributed funds to reconstruct the college VIP toilets for staff and visitors, installed electrical fittings of 17 classrooms and staff room, reconstructed school gate and supply of sporting equipment.
The projects were commissioned by President of the Barewa Old Boys Association (BOBA) Engr. Dahiru Ibrahim. There was also tour of the college and novelty match between the class of 1968 and the college staff.
