Barau to traditional rulers: Propagate message of unity

The Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau Jibrin, has asked traditional rulers in the country to propagate the message of peace and unity in the country.

 He made the appeal on Tuesday when he hosted the Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdulrasheed Akanbi, a first-class traditional ruler in Osun State, in his office at the National Assembly, Abuja.

 According to a statement by the Special Adviser to Senator Jibrin on Media and Publicity, Ismail Mudashir, the lawmaker described the role of traditional rulers in promoting unity as paramount to the peaceful coexistence and development of the country.
