Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I Jibrin, has extended his best wishes to Vice President Senator Kashim Shettima on his 58th birthday.
Senator Barau, in a statement by his media aide, Ismail Mudashir, praised the Vice President for making remarkable progressive contributions in both the private and public sectors, earning the admiration of many.
“Before entering politics, he was a highly successful banker. His transition into the political arena has seen him make significant contributions to the strengthening of democracy in the country.
“Despite the challenges posed by Boko Haram then, he demonstrated exceptional governance during his tenure as governor of Borno State from 2011 to 2019. As the chairman of the Senate Committee on Interior (2019 – 2023), he worked tirelessly to address the challenges faced by the agencies under his committee.
