Senator Barau I. Jibrin, Deputy Senate President, has launched the distribution of 69 trucks of fertiliser to farmers across the 44 LGAs of Kano State.
The distribution of 41,400 bags of fertiliser commenced on Tuesday in Danbatta and Makoda LGAs of Kano North Senatorial District, according to a statement from his spokesman, Ismail Mudashir.
Representing Senator Barau, his Chief of Staff, Professor Muhammad Ibn Abdallahi, handed over 2,804 bags to Danbatta and 1,910 bags to Makoda LGAs during the flag-off ceremony. He emphasised the importance of judicious use of the fertiliser to maximise crop yields.
“This distribution marks a significant milestone for Kano North, reflecting Senator Barau’s dedication to comprehensive human development in our communities,” Professor Abdallahi remarked.

Alhaji Dan Bayero, speaking on behalf of Danbatta residents, expressed gratitude to Senator Barau for his continuous support, referring to him as a devoted leader focused on the welfare of Kano North residents.
Tijjani Yakubu Salisu, a beneficiary from Makoda LGA, thanked Senator Barau for rescuing his farm through the fertiliser distribution.
“Today, Senator Barau has saved my farm. His consistent support means everything to us. We pray for Allah’s blessings upon him,” Tijjani Yakubu Salisu said.
