The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Med-View Airline, Alhaji Muneer Bankole has bagged the Balafon Aviation Personality of the year 2016 award in Nigeria at the just concluded 2nd WEIZO Travel and Tourism conference and exhibition in Accra, Ghana.
Presenting the award, the organiser of WEIZO, Mr. Ikechi Uko commended Bankole for his effort to reduce the pains of Nigerian travelers, who had been at the mercy of foreign airlines.
Uko said Medview Airline’s strong presence in the aviation industry in Nigeria is what had endeared Bankole to travellers, who through an objective online process voted him as the Aviation Personality of the year.
Bankole thanked the organisers of WEIZO, and noted that the industry was undergoing a metamorphosis, pointing out that from over 20 Air Operating Certificate (AOC), the industry was down to a one digit AOC.
He said that what keeps the airline going is dedication to duty in ensuring that travellers get the value for their money.
The Balafon Award committee made up of travel professionals and Journalists from Nigeria and Ghana approved the results for the best performers in Travel and Tourism in West Africa.
