No fewer than 109 people have benefitted from a skill acquisition training organised by Xploits Consulting Ltd in collaboration with Access Bank Plc in Niger State.
This is as the firm also presented 20 hand washing devices to 10 schools in Suleja and Chanchaga local councils of the state.
The beneficiaries were trained in areas such as phone repair, computer repair, soap making and beads making.
The Assistant Customer Service Manager of the bank, Mr Adams Inuwa, tasked the beneficiaries to put to use all they have been taught.
A beneficiary of the training, Mary Iko, who spoke on behalf of others, expressed appreciation to the organisers for the opportunity given to them to learn a skill and promised to put what they learnt into good use.
In his remarks during the presentation of the devices to the schools, the Managing Partner, Xploits Consulting Ltd, Dr Tayo Taiwo, represented by Mr Oluwatobi Ojo, Programme Officer, Xploits Consulting Ltd said frequent washing of hands with soap and water was the best way to prevent the spread of infectious diseases.
He tasked the school authorities to encourage the students to wash their hands often as that would help stop the spread of COVID-19.
The Principal of Fr. O. Connell Science School Minna, Mr Ahmed Jaffar, who spoke on behalf of other schools, commended the firm and urged it to extend the gesture to other schools.
