Bandits threaten to kill FCT captives over ransom delay

The abductors of 17 persons at Kawu village in Bwari Area Council of the FCT have threatened to kill the remaining 11 victims being held over delay to pay their ransom money and a brand-new Bajaj motorcycle by their families.

City & Crime had reported that bandits invaded Kawu on January 11, 2024, and whisked away 18 persons, including a couple, children of the District Head of Kawu and a female nurse.

However, the bandits on Monday, January 22, 2024, freed four of the victims after N5m was given to them and held back 11 of them in their captivity.
