Bandits who abducted 22 Abuja farmers at Rafin-Daji community in Abaji Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have reportedly relocated their victims from their hideout at the government reserve forest around Lafiya, Kpada and Duma communities in Lapai LGA of Niger State.
A member of the vigilante group which had engaged the bandits told our reporter through telephone on Sunday that the bandits relocated after a gun battle with them last Friday.

He said the vigilantes discovered the relocation of the bandits with their captives after they mobilised back to the forest on Saturday but did not meet them.
He said the vigilantes were still in the forest on the trail of the bandits to locate their new hideout.
Recall that five vigilantes were killed while six others sustained injuries after bandits laid ambush on them while attempting to rescue 22 abducted victims at Rafin-Daji community recently.
The vigilantes then remobilised and returned to the forest, killing five bandits and injuring several others.
The spokesman of the police in the state, ASP Wasiu Abiodun, was yet to reply to an SMS on the incident.
