The remaining 19 of the 23 abducted victims in Kudiri village in Kagarko LGA of Kaduna State on October 29, 2023, have regained their freedom after their abductors received a N10 million ransom and two new motorcycles from their families.
Confirming the release to our reporter through telephone on Sunday, a family member of one of the victims, Shuaibu Yahaya, said they were released last Thursday in a forest that borders Kagarko and Kachia LGAs of the state.

He said, “Although we lost one of our sons in the bandits’ den as a result of illness, we thank God that the remaining victims were released on Thursday.
“The delay in releasing the victims was as a result of the two motorcycles they demanded. Last week the families struggled and gathered money and bought the motorcycles for them.”
When contacted, the spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Mansur Hassan, was yet to reply to an SMS on the development.
