Bandits kill vigilante, abduct 3 farmers in Kaduna

Bandits have gunned down a vigilante and abducted three farmers in Kurutu village in Kachia LGA of Kaduna State.

A community leader, who preferred anonymity, who disclosed this to our reporter through telephone on Tuesday, said the incident happened on Sunday around 6pm when the bandits first killed the vigilante, simply identified as Marcus, on his farm, before proceeding to the next farm and abducting three farmers.

He said, “I heard this morning that the bandits killed the vigilante because he was one of those that always gave information to soldiers about their movements.”

The spokesman of the Kaduna State Police Command, ASP Hassan Mansur, could not be reached for comment on the incident.
