Bandits have attacked Ewehko community under Maro Ward in Kajuru LGA of Kaduna State and killed five villagers who were attending a meeting and set motorcycles on fire.
A resident, Benjamin Maro, said, “Another tragic incident has occurred in our community today. In broad daylight bandits launched a deadly assault on Ewehko, popularly known as Unguwar Paul, a village under Maro Ward at 2pm on Monday, and so far, the bodies of four men and one woman have been discovered. Search efforts are ongoing in the surrounding bushes for others who are still missing.”
Another resident, Reuben Maro, said houses were also torched.

The state government and the police command were yet to issue statements on the attack.
