Armed bandits have killed four people in Igabi and Chikun Local Government Areas (LGAs) of Kaduna State.
Security agencies Thursday said the bandits in their dozens had stormed Nasarawa Kalgo community on the outskirts of Jaji in Rigachikun District of Igabi LGA and killed one Harrisu Ibrahim.
A statement issued by the Kaduna State Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan, also said the armed bandits had attacked the Kujama area of Chikun LGA but were repelled by local vigilantes.
Aruwan said the bandits retreated to their hideouts and then attacked Janwuriya village in Kajuru LGA where they killed two brothers, Nuhu Ishaya and Yakubu Ishaya.
“In a separate incident, bandits invaded Maraban Kajuru, also in Kajuru Local Government Area and killed one resident, Samiru Na Ya’u,” he added.
