Bandits kill 3, destroy properties in Gombe communities

Three people were reportedly burnt to death by suspected armed bandits, after an attack midnight in Pobawure and Amtawalam communities in Billiri Local Government Area (LGA) of Gombe State.

Residents said the attackers invaded the two communities at midnight, while they were asleep, and went on a rampage by setting houses and stocked food items ablaze.

District head of the community, Malam Ahmed Zubairu, said similar attacks were reported on November 22, “and two days after the attack which left two dead, the neighbouring community was also attacked.”
