Residents said the bandits numbering about 30 and armed with AK-47 riffles attacked Babbar Ruga village around 2am on Sunday for the second time where they abducted two persons but one was able to escape.
The village is just 3 kilometres from the ancient city of Katsina.
At Kwarin Maikotso and Kore villages, which are about seven kilometres away from Babbar Ruga on Katsina-Batsari Road, the bandits reportedly killed two residents, abducted seven persons and rustled an unspecified number of animals.
Residents of the affected communities claimed that they put several distress calls through to security operatives during the attacks but were not responded to.
Efforts to get police reaction to the incidents proved abortive as the police spokesman in Katsina, SP Gambo Isah, did not pick up calls and had yet to reply to a text message at the time of filing this report.
